Infidelity, stealing, miscarriages, and romance, this is just what another week consists of in the Walker Family on ABC’s drama, Brothers And Sisters. Sarah, Tommy, Kevin, Kitty, Justin and their mother, Nora, are back in the third season with a force to be reckoned with. Now that William’s indiscretions are at the forefront again, the family stands at the aptly titled breaking point.

The third season opens with Justin dating Rebecca, the previous subject of William’s affair with Holly Harper, her mother. Kevin, the stereotypical gay brother, has now settled down with his caricature husband, Scotty. Kitty is now trying to have a baby with her squeaky clean husband, Senator Robert McCallister. Sarah, newly divorced, is left at Ojai Foods with her brother, Tommy, as the two work under William’s mistress and now the CEO, Holly Harper. Holding the family together as usual is Nora, the matriarch of the family.

As the third season goes on mercilessly over six DVDs, the family falls apart at its very seems. The caricatures of the sons and daughters become a little tedious and stereotypical as the season goes on. Most of the children follow into their father’s habits of stealing and infidelity. The most tragic part of the season, Tommy’s departure, contains the best episodes as the family finds out Ojai may be out of their hands. Oftentimes dramatic but mostly entertaining, the Walker family brings the universal idea of a family to another level in their third season with their struggles.
