A delightfully uncommon new comer to NoHo, West 3rd Common serves as a perfect common ground for a relaxing, great meal and casual drinks. The gastro-pub, which boasts the best burger in the city because of the steaming process used by Chef David Scott Walker, serves up an eclectic menu featuring some great Southern twists on classic pub fare. But it’s the vibe, the layout and the people that make this place a comforting venue for some great conversation fueled by the most killer garlic fries you’ve ever tasted.

The space has a sexy décor, with big red couches and chandeliers, however the bookshelves, board games and simple, fast service balance out the possibility of pretension. The bartenders and wait staff are young, fun, attentive and like to engage with customers, giving this lounging eatery sticking power with its neighborhood vibe. The excellently-priced menu includes a Pulled BBQ Pork Sandwich with garlic fries ($10), a very playful Build Your Own Grilled Cheese (cheddar, smoked gouda, pepperjack, mozzarella, goat, blue cheese) ($7) – Add pancetta, chorizo, arugula and more ($2), and of course those potent but addictive fries. They also offer a weekend all you can drink brunch (chicken and waffles, southwest benedict) ($20). A great space that can undoubtedly transform into the perfect private party venue, West 3rd Common presents a duality uncanny to any bar or restaurant in the area.

Friend them on Facebook and get a free draft beer! If you’re an NYU student, they offer 10% off food with ID (excluding brunch).
