The beauty industry is changing, and some say for the better. The business of organic and natural skincare is teeming as I have previously noted in other reviews. Part of my mission as a beauty writer (and junkie) is to explore the growing market. Jurlique is a biodynamic cosmetics line from Australia founded in 1985. Jurlique believes in beauty from beauty from farm to bottle. The company endeavors to create the cleanest and purest skincare line. We tried the Jurlique Balancing Cleansing Lotion ($40, 6.7 oz). It should be noted that a cleansing lotion is not an effectual make up remover as it merely “cleanses†rather than “removes.†I used the cleansing lotion with makeup and it left a mucky residue, which required a separate cleanser to completely wash my face. I also tried it without makeup, which left my skin soft and smooth. Jurlique’s Balancing Cleansing Lotion is a good, daily product for a natural face, or to pamper your skin weekly if you wear makeup daily.
