1. Pam Real Thai Food
Voted as one of the top-rated Thai Restaurants in the city, this neighborhood standby serves highly recommended noodle dishes, such as the Pad See Ew, favorite curries like Massaman curry, and a variety of popular and authentic Thai dishes.

2. Lime Jungle
A recent addition to the area, this healthy-style Mexican restaurant offers fresh and affordable tacos, burritos, burgers and chicken. For just under $7 you can get a half-roasted Yucatan style chicken and a full vegetable side, as one customer happily beamed, was a lot food for him. A modest, but tasty vegetarian selection is also available too.

3. Wondee Siam II
In a neighborhood nicknamed Thai Row, there are plenty of Thai restaurants to choose from. One of my favorites is Wondee Siam II for their consistency, efficient service and reasonably priced menu. Here, I know I’ll find a dish I’ll always enjoy.

4. Amish Market
For a quick and easy meal on-the-go, the salad and hot food bar at the Amish Market offers a decent variety of daily selections and is a good resort, especially if you’re short on time or cash. Hot food selections include Grilled Swordfish, Baked Tilapia, Lemon Chicken or Barbecue Ribs matched with a fresh Greek salad and vegetable selection. Prices range from $6.99 per pound.

5. Empanda Mama
I’m not sure if it’s a cheap eat, but they do have my favorite Sangria in the neighborhood, and the empanadas can range from $2. 35 – $3.00 each with fillings that include chicken, beef, pork, seafood, and vegetarian choices such as spinach and cheese, mushrooms, or rice and beans.
