A little palate-cleansing from those wonderful Digital Playground girls (love them though I do) this time around. I do promise a third in my series of four with the ladies, but this week I just thought I’d give you a little heads-up on some of the soon-to-be sexual happenings in and around our fair city. Nothing much beyond July as I don’t want to get too far ahead, and one or two not exactly in Manhatten proper, still I think they are sweet and sassy and would be oh-so-much fun to attend (and almost all of them are free). So enjoy…
Gay Pride March
Staring with the biggie of the summer season (as far as I’m concerned) on June 27th, the annual Gay Pride March (step-off at 39th and 5th, step off at noon). This year is the 41st Anniversary of the Stonewall Riots so there will be lots of history to celebrate, the usual poignant remembrances of friends passed and the ancillary parties and meets that are all part of this historic event. This year’s Grand Marshals are Dan Choi and Judy Shepard.
TES Fest 2010
An entire NJ hotel is set for a weekend of classes from July 2-5, 2010 in Piscataway, N. J., with vendors, and fabulous play-space for the kink-minded. Like the organizers of this weekend say: “what more do you want for a holiday weekend?” Sure, it’s not exactly in the Big Apple but easy to get to from NYC (and Piscataway is so nice in July!) Continuing their Cheap Date Night series, our wonderful friends at Babeland are offering two killer evenings among their usual killer evenings. There’s “Moregasm for Couples” on July 8 at 8pm at their lower east side location and “How To Please Your Man” on July 11 at 7:30pm in Soho. Brooklyn We Go Hard
This free event all day event on Sat July 11 at Cuyler Grove Park (corner of Greene Avenue and Fulton Street in Fort Greene Brooklyn) begins at 10am and ends at 4pm. This is the girls Gender Equality’s 4th Annual Gender Equality Festival, bringing together community members, artists, service providers, and community organizers. Featuring live music, dance, spoken word, and theater by established and emerging artists, the sponsors and attendees scheduled for this one are too numerous to name.

In The Flesh Erotic Reading Series
This uber popular free series continues monthly at the aptly naked Happy Ending Lounge (302 Broome Street). On July 15th from 7:30-10pm they will host their MEDIA SEX NIGHT. Superstars attending this night are Kevin Allison, Penny Arcade and many others as usual hosted by Rachel Kramer Bussel and those yummy baked good from Melissa.
