Get ready for all the staples of what makes clowns funny. The NY Clown Theatre Festival feature diverse clown theatre artists from around the world and across the United States including cabarets, parades, pie fights, workshops on the art of clown, family friendly shows, and even an interactive street show. For dinner, The Lodge, with décor reminiscent of a log cabin and a menu coming from the same forest, serves comfort food in a warm and inviting setting. For drinks, Hope Lounge is a great stop. Exposed brick and earth tones mingle and the outdoor patio is big. The drink list is deep with beers from all over the world and tonight, expect a DJ to spin classic party jams. You may or may not have noticed The City Reliquary, a small storefront museum that shows artifacts of NYC, including a flashlight collection, but this place is definitely interesting to check out.

NY comedian Dan St Germain headlines a night of comedy at Comix. Dan will be performing his freewheeling stand up, and joining him on the night will be comedian Mike Lawrence, host Sean Donnelly, and feature guest Mike Recine. For dinner, if you can get a table, check out Spice Market. Chef and owner Jean-Georges Vongerichten converted this HUGE space into one of the sexiest Asian restaurants in NYC. Serving up exquisite dishes like the onion and chili crusted short ribs with egg noodles and pea shoots ($22), Spice Market impresses. If you choose not to stay at APT for drinks, close by is Plunge. Located at the top of the Hotel Gansevoort, this rooftop lounge offers stunning views of the city. No one makes chocolate as rich and addictive as Jacques Torres Chocolates and being in the Chelsea Market, you can get your fix from their delectable chocolates to their amazing Hot chocolate. A personal fave is the chocolate chip cookie, which they even heat up for you. Delish!
