The Italian spa line Borghese released a wonderful nail lacquer collection just in time for this spring’s bold colors. The Borghese Rapido Fast Dry Lacquer ($8) comes in 12 colors from brights to neutrals for all tastes. I tried statement colors like Marino – an ocean blue, Maraschino – a glam pop pink, and my personal favorite Lira – a metalized gold. The quick dry, lacquer sealed in my new varnish in about 60 seconds and lasted well over a week without chipping.
Borghese’s lacquer uses its own formulation free of smelly additives that moisturize and strengthen nails. I was also a fan of the thick brush that provided smooth application without drying out or getting gummy. The only thing I wasn’t impressed with was the multi-coat application for the more neutral hues. All in all, Borghese’s Rapido Dry Lacquer is an incredible value for its durability and quality ingredients.
