The Village Voice of New York City has recently announced the full line-up for the 4Knots Music Festival, being held on Saturday, July 16th. The show will take place at South Street Seaport’s Pier 17 in Manhattan, from 2PM-1AM.

For ten years, The Village Voice hosted an annual, summer indie-rock fest at Coney Island, known as the Siren Music Festival. 4Knots is essentially replacing the Siren Festival this summer. The lineup still consists of various up-and-coming indie acts, this year including: Titus Andronicus, Obits, Eleanor Friedberger of Fiery Furnaces, The Black Angels, Davila 666 and Oberhofer. And best of all, the show is still completely FREE for ALL AGES.

The 4Knots Festival Kick-Off Show will be held the previous Saturday, the 9th, and will feature Ted Leo & the Pharmacists.

These events have been known to attract over 100,000 people each year and are always a great time. Past artists that have performed include Death Cab for Cutie, M.I.A., Spoon, Dr. Dog, The Shins & more.

The name “4Knots” is derived from the nautical importance and cultural history of the Seaport location itself. The location conveniently is accessible by ferry, car, bus or subway, and is near plenty of local attractions and restaurants.
