Reefer Party

Reefer Party, the newest album from Pittsburgh native Wiz Khalifa, shows off his skills as a singer and rapper on the microphone perfectly. With his fully inked body, he not only has talent, but a presence you can’t deny in mainstream rap music.

Every track offers up marijuana-laced madness, but a good get-up-and-go song is “Everyday Hustling,” which paints a smoky picture of the daily grind. Jersey rapper Neako and Taylor Gang’s very own Chevy Woods kill it on the title track of this freestyle compilation. Beat borrowing is nothing new and maybe Waka Flocka (whose music is sampled) won’t mind, but I doubt it.

One of my favorite tracks on the album, “Flowers,” happens to be great medicine for a rainy day and complements a fat bowl of your favorite flower I might add. The overly emceed song “On It” featuring Lupe Fiasco is sick and there’s some names you may find on your future favorites list that are featured guests on Reefer Party. Big Sean and Curren$y are the main guest vocalists on almost every song, which is very complimenting, but could be tiresome for some hip-hop heads stuck in the 90’s.
