Punk Rock NailsAs someone who often opts to do her own at-home manicures instead of paying up and booking regular visits to the salon (not like I’m even remotely good at it or anything!), I’ve become a huge fangirl of Deborah Lippmann. From all the latest trendy hues to ultra-shiny glitters in every shade of the rainbow (OMG, the glitters!), the nail-artist-to-the-stars always seem to have her finger on the pulse of all the latest nail trends – probably because she’s the one creating them in the first place! The chip-resistant, creamy formulas always seem to magically disguise my polish flaws and make up for my lack of skill somehow, and while her designer-approved lacquers certainly don’t come cheap, but they never disappoint. Now, it’s time to make way for her brand-new Punk Rock Collection, a three-piece polish trio in taxi cab yellow, smoke gray, and shimmery navy, inspired by some of the 70’s greatest rebel anthems – I Wanna Be Sedated, Pretty Vacant, and I Fought the Law. Aside from the bold, moody array of hues, the real defining characteristic of this punky new capsule collection is its gritty, matte, textured finish. It’s not exactly pretty, but it’s pretty damn punk rock, and it’s definitely a ground-breaking new formula from the queen of runway nails!
