It’s not been such a great week, has it? Eddie Money, Ric Ocasek and now porn star Jessica Jaymes, what’s happening? The early reporting on her death is sketchy. While it seems EMS were called to her San Fernando Valley home responding to a cardiac arrest of a female, and the lady was pronounced dead at the scene, the cause of death of this AVN Hall-of-Famer is still yet unknown.
In my travels I know I have passed and even talked to Jessica, though I never was lucky enough to get a long sit down interview with her. She certainly reached legendary status in her adult work, since she got into soft-core porn, 17 years ago. In 2005 she debuted in the 2005 film, The Porn Identity, and in that same year was named Hustler’s “Honey of the Year.” Jessica went on to appear in over two hundred porn films, transitioning as many do, to film exclusively for her own site.
In the mainstream world she appeared on Showtime’s Weeds, (as herself) frequented The Howard Stern Show, was on VH1’s Celebrity Rehab Sober House and HBO’s Vivid Valley.
The lady leaves us at the ripe old age of 43! I say again…what the hell is happening?
