New Books: More Dirty Girls Having Fun & A Visual History of Lovemaking Toys

I have two new releases from our old friends Goliath Books to tell you about: More Dirty Girls Having Fun, and A Visual History of Lovemaking Toys.

The first comes to us from erotic photographer Ellen Stagg. This Brooklyn-based artist was raised in Connecticut, took up photography in high school, and graduated with a BFA in Photography from New York City’s School of Visual Arts. Gaining her reputation and skills shooting actors, musicians and sports stars for publications such as Life, Interview, Maxim, and Teen Vogue, Stagg would come into shooting sexually-explicit content for adult star Justine Joli in 2005.

Stagg released her erotic photo book, Dirty Girl Collection, three years ago and the follow-up is ripe for the plucking right now. Continuing her tradition of female empowerment in the form of sexual freedom in all its eye-popping glory. Dare I say, the ladies captured here (lots of the pictures are of two ladies in one shot) are tantalizing in their variety and ‘dirtiness.’

A Visual History of Lovemaking Toys, from author Richard Battenberg, explores the dildo, the all-purpose sex toy, used since antiquity. This lush hardcover consists of 200 pictures, mostly erotic illustrations and photographs from antiquity up to the modern today. The pictures come from a huge range of different collections and sources and Goliath has annotated some in text provided. Both scientific and pornographic aspects concerning dildos are commented on, probably the most you would ever need to know about the history of the dildo.

You can grab More Dirty Girls Having Fun here and of course directly at Goliath Books.

And see all of what Ellen is about at her website.
