In light of the pandemic, might this actually be the best time to be a cam girl?
That was definitely the case for me! Here in Canada, we had the Covid Emergency Response Benefit, so when I lost my job suddenly because of Covid, I was receiving the benefit and had lots of free time to plan for and start camming.
I feel really grateful I could give my full attention to building my brand without worrying about making rent or working a full-time job.
How did you get into camming?
I was in a really emotionally abusive relationship for a long time. I knew I had to leave, but I was scared of how I would survive on one mediocre income; my ex was always sure to remind me that he had a much better paying job and that I was broke compared to him. I came across camming, and it really intrigued me. My relationship was also void of sex. I felt unattractive, and I was chastised if I ever took pride in my appearance or received compliments from others. Being a cam girl, having fun, talking to people, being worshipped/desired by others, AND getting paid for it, seemed like a dream job.
So, I started secretly researching how to be a cam girl. I would watch YouTube videos, listen to podcasts about camming, and poring over cam girl pages. I’d research their tips menus, fan clubs. I made note of what I liked and didn’t like and came up with a name, the vibe I wanted to convey, how much I would charge, what days I would cam, and all the tools I needed to get started. So, when I finally had the courage to leave my partner, I hit the ground running.
Other than the obvious, what do you feel are the differences in how you approach camming vs. shooting scenes, Do you adopt more of a role in one or the other?
I always have an outline of what I want to do for camming or filming, but with camming, it definitely feels more spontaneous. It’s like anything can happen. I’m always open to just chat, laugh, play out a requested scenario or role play. My favorite shows are when the viewers tip for a special request. I’m always 100% myself when camming, and I think people respond to that.
Filming is a little more structured, and I’m acting more. But even if I’m pretending my co-star is my real-life boyfriend or acting out a made-up scenario, you’re still getting the real Greta.
In lots of your press and descriptions, you describe liking a certain 70’s feel when it comes to porn. Can you explain what that is exactly?
It must have something to do with that era being my first glimpse of porn, finding dirty magazines hidden under a bed. When I think of porn, I immediately hear a funky porno-sounding tune, “bow chica wow wow.” Also, I like being goofy, and I don’t consider myself a great actress, so “cheesy” porn is something I can definitely pull off (laughs). I also really love that porn back then; just had a lot of normal-looking people in it. Don’t get me wrong, I love the super glammed up porn of the 80’s and 90’s, but there’s just a certain charm of porn from the 70’s that you don’t see these days. And I absolutely love 70’s interior decorating and clothing. I’m trying even now to make my apartment into the perfect 70’s erotica bachelorette pad.
 Tell us about your artwork.
Covid has also allowed me to discover another talent. To add to my 70’s erotica bachelorette pad, I wanted some vintage paintings of naked ladies. But they are so expensive and hard to find. I hadn’t painted since high school, about 20 years ago, but I thought I would try and paint my own. So, for a couple of weeks, I just went hard on painting naked ladies. As I was posting my work online, I started to get commissions. I’m so grateful people like what I do and pay me to paint more naked ladies. I’m starting now to paint more on black velvet to get that real authentic retro vibe I’m after. One of the websites I make content for, plumperpass, recently commissioned me to paint two of their models, and they were some of the most fun paintings I’ve done to date. When I’m painting for myself, I like to use pictures I find of adult models and actresses from the ’60s and ’70s.
 Do you have any naughty future plans?
As soon as it’s safe to travel, I am going straight to Miami to put my adult star career into full gear. I can’t wait to film with other actors and actresses in a studio. I’ve worked in regular film and television behind the scenes, so I’m excited this time to be in front of the camera. I have some porn goals I’d love to achieve this year. I’m so excited to go to all the conventions and get-togethers. I can’t wait to start making connections in person.
