Urban Decay is now introducing a unique finishing powder that aims to create a flawless, air-brushed appearance that may be just what the forecast calls for. âRazor sharpâ appropriately describes the very fine powder that applies like an airy dust on the skinâs surface.
Following application, the skin does not exactly appear air-brushed, but a fine finish does result in a smooth and even complexion. Urban Decayâs website boasts that users will grow addicted to tiny water particles that âfloat on the skinâs surface and âburstâ when applied,â yet I did not realize that water particles were involved during any point of the application process.
Packaged in a small cylindrical container, this finishing powder is easy to tote and the intention is that it is mess-free due to a simple twisting mechanism; however, be warned that product may still leak, as it did for this reviewer. Skeptics should also be aware that this product is made in only one, made-to-fit-all shade and application is via a large sponge that seemingly absorbs the product from the base to arrive (by osmosis?) on the skinâs surface. The powder appeared natural on my rather pale skin, but I am not so sure that the same result will occur on other shades.
Ultimately, the Ultra Definition Finishing power does prove to be up to the task, as application is easy, and overall complexion does improve when combined with a base foundation. Those lower-maintenanced who opt to wear Urban Decayâs newest offering with no other makeup are also likely to enjoy the ultra definition.
