As far as ‘reality shows’ go, I’m not a huge fan. As far New Jersey goes, I have always lived in the state and defend it to all detractors. As far as being Italian and knowing women like the ‘girl’s who star in The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Season 1, I have to admit, yes I have seen a few (not in my family though) in my years. And as far as how entertaining this dreck is there is no doubt…it is.
On this 3 DVD set you get all the gaudy glitz of the beasts that are Teresa Giudice, Danielle Staub, Jacqueline Laurita, Caroline Manzo and Dina Manzo (when I say ‘beasts’ I am in no way disparaging the way these women look or dress, I simply mean their attitudes, how they continue to drag their families through the embarrassment that is this bottom-of-the-barrel Bravo show for their 15 minutes of fame).
As if you didn’t see enough about pampered cats, precious children, ineffectual husbands, huge homes, manicured lawns and nails, and everybody but anybody being ‘disrespected’ (doesn’t one need to respect one’s self first before one can even tell if one is being disrespect by another?) on this set we get extras like “Watch What Happens” reunion episodes, “The Lost Footage” (thank God it wasn’t lost!) and the infamous table tossing season finale, “Director’s Cut.”
You truly have to see this to believe it…and you can see it all on The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Season 1.
