Bypassing the guest elevators in the lobby of the Kimberly Hotel for a hidden express elevator just off to the left will put you on the fast track to heaven- if you expect your brunch to be as transcendental as I do. Your adventurous zip to the top floor will be met with several rewards: Gorgeous, rooftop views stretching in all directions across Manhattan, heated floors, and Truffled Duck Egg Toast.

Just opened this past spring and simply named Upstairs, the restaurant’s retractable glass ceilings and walls allow for a sky-grazing meal even during these months of typical hibernation.

You truly get what you pay for when you treat yourself to a meal catered by Executive Chef Gwenaël Le Pape, hailing from the 3 ½ star Maison d’Azur in Miami. Brunch Upstairs is an affordable way to dabble in his culinary excellence.

Open year-round for brunch, lunch and dinner, I can’t think of a more brilliant time to experience the tip-top of NYC then with the sweet rays of the mid-day sun.
