THE SEX FILES: Sexy Up-Coming Events in NYC This Fall

I love this time of year. Fall on the east coast, from NYC to Vermont and everywhere in-between is crisp, colorful and fun…not to mention so belly filling with the candy I steal from my niece and nephew and all that damn food my sister makes for Thanksgiving. I figured it might be fun to run through an early fall calendar of upcoming naughty events. The 2nd Annual Sacred Sex Round-up- 9/23-9/26, at The Reflections Yoga Studio 250 west 49th Street 2nd Floor. Adding an extra day to the proceedings this year, these four days of workshops, performances, dining and symposiums boast over 30 presenters. Instructional Body Painting Workshop, 9/25 1-4pm at Shag, 108 Roebling St Brooklyn. Taught by artist Danny Setiawan, this is a beginning class on body painting techniques. The Eighth Annual New York Burlesque Festival-9/30-10/3. Gotta check the website for the various locations during this four day event (in clubs from Brooklyn to Manhattan), but this Eighth annual event is going to be the biggest yet. If you’re interested in seeing the best in this art form, go check performers who come from as far away as Australia and as close as right here from the city. The 2011 NYC Sex Blogger Calendar Release Party-10/1/201 at Fontana’s, 105 Eldridge St . I guess I’m not as much of a mover and a shaker as I thought, since I wasn’t invited, still this could be a fun event considering the talent that will be there (any party where lovely Nina Hartley is attending is just bound to be fun). Naughty Auction 2010-10/7 at Touch, 240 W. 52nd St between Broadway and 8th Ave. This year’s “The Forbidden Jungle” night features samba dancing, vintage “bongo” burlesque performances by Angie Pontani, an open bar and eats all followed by an auction of collectibles, toys and Herb Ritts photographs.
