Fitz and the Tantrums @ SOHO House, 9/24/10

I recently attended a private performance by a group called Fitz and the Tantrums at the SoHo House. I knew going into the show that I would enjoy it and have a great time. Come on, roof top evening with breathtaking views, lovely weather and a band that has been hailed as being “masters of Motown-esque Melodies.” I was set for a great evening in my head. However, I didn’t think I would have fallen in love with their sound and come home and purchase their latest album, but that’s exactly what happened.

Fitz and the Tantrums put on an absolutely unforgettable show. They were fun and filled with such a presence of the past that you could not help but keep your eyes glued to their direction. Their latest single “Money Grabber” had the crowd on their feet and dancing to their delicious sound. Truly it was an unforgettable performance that took you back in time in all the best ways. Frontman Fitz and the lovely Noelle put on a show like the rent was due! They have such timeless class that’s sprinkled with a swag only the Temptations would know.

The show had all the ingredients for an epic performance and the band delivered just that. They were smooth and sexy yet fun and refreshingly full of life. It was a great performance and I highly recommend that you listen to the track “Money Grabber.”
