Glee Sings the Beatles is an album where the cast of the FOX television show Glee sings only Beatles songs. This took place during season five of the series, in two parts (episodes one and two).

The album opens with Rachel (Lea Michele) singing “Yesterday” off of the Beatles’ 1965 album, Help!. Artie (Kevin McHale) and Kitty (Becca Tobin), with back-up from the glee club, then sing “Drive my Car” off of The Beatles’ 1956 album, Rubber Soul.

Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Blaine (Darren Criss) sing an empowered, unique cover of “Got to Get You into My Life,” off of the Beatles’ 1966 album, Revolver, while Artie and Kitty sing “You’ve Got to Hide Your Love Away,” off the Beatles’ 1965 album, Help!.

After Blaine announces he wants to marry Kurt, he sings “Help!,” while Rachel, Santana (Naya Rivera), and the rest of the girls working at the restaurant sing “A Hard Day’s Night,” off of the Beatles’ 1964 self-titled album. Blaine, Ryder (Blake Jenner), Sam (Chord Overstreet), and Jake (Jacob Artist) perform “I Saw Her Standing There” from Please Please Me.

With the help of both old and new glee club members, Blaine performs “All You Need is Love” to Kurt. Because he sings it when he’s proposing to Kurt, the part at the end- “she loves you, yeah yeah yeah”- is changed to “he loves you, yeah yeah yeah.” We then enter part two of the Beatles’ song list.

It begins with Kurt and Rachel singing a piano-laden version of “Get Back,” followed by Santana and Demi Lovato singing on the acoustic guitar “Here Comes the Sun.” The Beatlemania continues with Sam singing “Something,” while the entire cast sings a beautiful version of “Let it Be.” Also included are covers of “Hey Jude” (with Blaine hitting the high notes at the end) and “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.”
