THE SEX FILES: EXXXOTICA 2010

Once again I found myself at the EXXXOTICA convention in beautiful downtown Edison NJ, not more than a hop, skip and jump over from ol’ S.I. and maybe twenty minutes from the Holland Tunnel. Its 3^rd year at the cavernous NJ EXPO CENTER, this year’s adult convention was sharing space with a bunch of hot cars and motorcycles, just beyond the pink carpet and booths for Honey Lube (more on them at another time) The Legends Of EXXXOTICA area which would be hosting Ginger Lynn, Nina Hartley and others singing and taking pics, Cockolate Pops with their array of chocolate shaped penises and va-jay-jays (I had me a delicious mint cock).

I got in a few quick words with L.A. Direct Model, the fetching Alexa Nicole and then I made my way over to the show’s sponsor Hotmovies.com. If you didn’t hear about it (or don’t read this column all that often) you might not know that the F.B.I. raided the Atlanta headquarters of Hotmovies.com last week. I sidled up to one of their minions sitting in their huge cordoned off area to ask if he’d go on record about what was happening. Asking not to be recorded, this nice gentleman assured me of these simple facts: no arrests had been made; no indictment had been handed down and the company was cooperating fully in the investigation. From what my anonymous source told me, it is felt across the board that this was an informational raid by the feds and the Hotmovies.com company, which owns over 17,000 domains (some even mainstream) were back to business as usual and will continue to conduct that business in their usual exemplary fashion despite what happened last week.

The general public was milling around in the lobby as local dancers were brought in wearing various skimpy outfits to dance around poles strategically placed in the four corners of the venue. With music pumping a bit too loud, the Fantasy Island area-dead center of the convention-boasted the biggest array of talent signing this day; our own Amy Fischer, Sandra Bullock’s nemesis Michelle “Bombshell” McGee, Tori Black and the girl I was waiting to interview Jesse Jane(®) (who we have interviewed in THE SEX FILES before). The diminutive porn star came just in time for me to ask her what was happening with the Jesse Jane brand (Jesse Jane’s name is actually trademarked).

“Jessejane.com is finally going live. Today we are ready to launch, so I’m getting ready cause I’ve never done anything live before. We just wrapped a huge movie, and if you thought Body Heat was good, (Body Heat by Digital Playground has been the best selling adult DVD for 6 weeks running)  this movie, Top Guns’ is amazing! We will of course release a trailer in January (at AVN). We had three real jets! You’re not gonna top this one, it’s awesome. I have a couple other movies coming out and I’m going to Sexpo in Capetown South Africa in a couple weeks, the only Digital Playground girl who will be signing there and I’m super excited because I’ve never been to Africa before.”

By the time I left J.J. the place was buzzing. Kimora Klein of Kougar Mountain Productions was showing off the backside she is known for, a be-speckled bronzed beauty at Paradise Bikini let me snap a picture (purely for research for this column) and I just missed a seminar on “PR & Marketing in the Adult Biz & Beyond.” There were performances coming from Dan Diamond and the “Ms. EXXXOTICA Competition happening all weekend. Good times across the river.
