Russian turntablist and producer DJ Vadim (pronounced Vah-Deem) presents his new, truly international group called the Electric, which consists of not only the London-bred, Berlin-based beatmaker, but UK vocalist Sabira Jade, and Chicago emcee Pugs Atomz. Life is Moving, a hybrid of hip hop, soul and electronica vibes, is the group’s first project on the Ninja Tune label.

Vadim, who lives part-time in New York City, has been making music for over 15 years and has worked with some of the biggest names in the business–Stevie Wonder, Al Green, Prince, Erykah Badu, The Roots, Public Enemy and Kraftwerk, among others.  He is still showcasing an eclectic, fun and funky side, which includes the first single “Beautiful.” Featuring South American rapper Yarah Bravo, the latest track, “Running,” contains some classic samples (one by the late Guru). The album features a slew of hard-hitting other tracks such as “Toot Toot,” “Sometimes,” “I’m All In,” and “Music Is Addictive.”
