Every great while comes a marvelous, sensual fragrance that envelopes and engages all the senses. The last time I made such a discovery was with Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker, and then came a fragrance called Ilari. Ilari ($65, 3.5 oz.) is a specialty perfume consisting of a balance of oils and floral notes to create a sexy, clean essence. It is the home-grown creation of a Midwestern transplant to New York City. The emerald and gold bottle comes in the form of a roll-on applicator. The essential ingredients include jasmine, ebony wood, orange blossom, musk and sandalwood. The oil had a smooth application that lasted for hours, which caused several people to stop and ask what I was wearing. This is a wonderful perfume that is easily portable due to its size and shape. My only hesitation is the price point, which I found a bit steep for its value. Available at Barneys.
