Roots reggae quintet Morgan Heritage shares authentic island vibes on their newest album, Strictly Roots. The group consists of the children by reggae star Denroy Morgan, and it features Peetah Morgan on vocals, Una Morgan on keys and vocals, Gramps Morgan (also on keys and vocals), Lukes Morgan (rhythm guitar) and Mr. Mojo Morgan (percussion and vocals).
Their 10th studio album brings an eclectic mix of reggae and hip-hop tunes that will get you grooving. With a mix of cameos including reggae artist Chronixx, Jo Mersa Marley from Ghetto Youths Crew and grandson of Bob Marley, Jemere Morgan (son of Gramps Morgan), and reggae band members Eric Rachmany (from Rebelution) and Bobby Lee (from SOJA), Strictly Roots is full of radio-friendly tunes and standout tracks like the first single, “Perform and Done,†“Light It Up†featuring Jo Mersa, “Strictly Roots,†and “Why Dem Come Around.â€
