Babyface is one of my biggest inspirations in knowing that my path would be songwriting. I admire him; he has this natural way of being simultaneously vulnerable and cool. It’s a testimony to me that a great writer has to dig deep. His lyrics effect you, yet the melody complements it classically. “Fight for Love” gives me that 90’s Babyface feel and it feels so good. “Something Bout You” makes me anticipate a live rendition. It reminds me of falling in love in the spring. The whole album sounds live, which adds an element of authenticity. It isn’t of your average young listener, but very appropriate for his demographic. True fans will be singing every word, which is his “thing.” “I Want You” needs to be played on a cruise to your favorite spot. It feels like a good time. What’s not to love about music that feels and makes you feel good?
