After a year of single releases, British drum and bass producers Chase and Status (Saul Milton and Will Kennard, respectively) finally give us their new full-length album No More Idols.

Since November 2009, the UK-based duo has dropped “End Credits,” “Let You Go,” “Hypest Hype” and “Blind Faith” from their official full-length sophomore release, but in the process has crafted a uniquely diverse yet commercially accepted product. No More Idols is a hodgepodge of musical genres; everything from dubstep and trance to hip hop and indie rock is represented. Though three singles have already peaked on the UK Singles chart, some listeners on this side of the pond may have a hard time following the hype.  Still, take a listen to “No Problem,” “Hitz,” “Flashing Lights,” and ”Midnight Caller.”

Even with guest appearances by mostly UK-artists such as Tinie Tempah, Dizzee Rascal, Tempa T and Plan B, as well as newly-minted Grammy winner Cee-Lo Green, No More Idols may still garner pop appeal. Or maybe signing a management deal with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation will help too.
