Deadly dolphin attacks, secret navy plots to recruit using boy bands, and the joys of grifting are some of the eclectic story lines that you will find in the newly released 12th season DVD set of one of the most prolific and important TV shows ever, The Simpsons.. Season 12 was a big one for The Simpsons back in 2000-2001 and in addition to guest stars such as The Who, Stephen King, Drew Barrymore, N-Sync, Kathy Griffin, Edward Norton, John Updike, Michael Keaton, Venus and Serena Williams you have some classic episodes such as “Worst Episode Ever” in which Bart and Millhouse take over the comic book store, “Hungry, Hungry Homer” when Homer goes on a hunger strike when he finds out the local baseball team is planning to move out of town, and the Emmy award winning “Homr” when Homer has a crayon removed from his brain bringing him new intelligence.

The four DVD package which features Comic Book Man on the cover includes the usual loads of goodies we come to expect such as: tons of commentaries, picture in picture with storyboards and animatics, deleted scenes, special language features (if you have friends from Hungary staying over), and even a montage of Comic Book Guys best moments ever! The season is not the high water mark for the series and there are a few recycled plot lines but overall the 21 episodes are pretty consistently entertaining and remind you how good The Simpsons are. Whether it’s your dirty little secret or you are a proud Simpsonaholic you know you want to buy this old school set of classic cartoons from the Simpsons heyday.
