The Daily Shortlist December 31
Wow, it’s already the end of 2009 already? Really? Damn that was fast! With 2010 fast approaching, the tradition of having somewhere to go and something to do to ring in the New Year is on everyone’s mind. For the semi-non-traditionalists out there check out Murray Hill’s New Year’s Eve Extravaganza! where comedian Murray Hill hosts this NYE party/Variety show with performances and DJs till the wee hours of the new decade. RICE not surprisingly offers a pretty intense variety of rice, from brown to Bhutanese red. Most of the rice based dishes come in large and small sizes. Right below RICE is Low Bar, an extremely convenient place to grab a drink and catch some great DJs spin in a lounge environment. Right off the water, with a view of the South Street Seaport and the Brooklyn Bridge so close you can touch it, the only thing that could make this view better is ice cream. You’ll usually find a long line for Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory, but the sweet flavors are worth it!
