If your parents’ drug usage could have a soundtrack, this 6-song EP from PHONETAG might be it. Definitely a throwback to the 70’s, Look and Feel transports you back in time with hazy vocals and aptly sets the backdrop to a scene filled with smoke machines and disco balls. A Brooklyn-based three-piece whose songs are characterized by rhythmic electronic beats, PHONETAG seamlessly incorporates some element of nature into each song, whether it’s computer-generated glass marimbas recalling ocean side excursions or far-away echoing chimes blowing away in the fictional breeze the band creates. The EP is pretty uniformly tempoed with simple melodies and makes for an easy listen while you dream of the impending warm weather.
