Milbar Laboratories has been developing and manufacturing cosmeceutical products for over two decades. The company launched their own in-house skin care line called M Lab and promotes itself as the “most efficacious and luxurious anti-aging formulations in the world.” The line is created for all skin types to establish an even skin tone and to promote firmness. To combat the dreary days of the Pacific Northwest, I started tanning this autumn. I also care a great deal about my skin, so I started using M Lab Anti Aging Treatment Serum ($275, 1 oz) to target premature aging and to hydrate my skin. For two months, I applied the heavily concentrated serum on my face at night. I still have not noticed a difference in hydration or firmness. M Lab’s Anti Aging Treatment Serum has a hefty price tag that comes with a 74% concentrate of active ingredients such as peptides. The cost to size ratio is just about right for their tag line “the new little black dress redefined” as in proportion to the cost of a black Calvin Klein dress! The company website states that this product is also effective as a makeup primer, so I have been using it alternatively. I had more success with the product as a primer than preventing the signs of aging.
