Urban Decay Tinted Moisturizer
A short time before the summer heat attempted to melt most of the city, I was fortunate enough to receive Urban Decay’s Tinted Moisturizer to review, and it has since become a staple in my morning routine.
I tend to skip foundation in the summer, but this tinted moisturizer provides just enough coverage while still remaining light on my skin. It provides the perfect base for additional make-up, or can be worn alone for trips to the dog park or to outdoor concerts. My Irish heritage gives me only two skin tone choices for summer, pale and freckled, and the SPF 20 has helped me maintain the first (and preferred) of those two options. When I first saw the Halo tint, I thought it would be too light, even for me, but found its sheer quality helps it blend quite well.
The moisturizer is chock full of minerals and vitamins, including A & E, as well as anti-oxidants such as ginger toot extract and gingko biloba leaf, which have all been shown to help prevent cell aging.
Urban Decay has long been a favorite of mine, as they are not only a cruelty-free cosmetic company, but also carry a line of vegan products that are easy to identify thanks to their Marley’s Purple Paw symbol.
The moisturizer is dispensed via an airless pump, keeping it bacteria-free, and the container itself is small and fun. Urban Decay Tinted Moisturizers are available in four tints for $32 a piece at Sephora, ULTA and Macy’s. You can also order them online at Beauty.com and UrbanDecay.com.
