When you walk past Bath & Body Works in a mall, you don’t exactly assumeit’s  a “guy’s” store. Nonetheless, the chain store revamped its image and created a Signature Collection line, which includes a limited range of fragrance products for men. We reviewed the body wash and two body sprays. Noir Body Wash ($10.50, 10 oz) also comes as a body spray or stand alone cologne. In the shower, it works into a wonderful lather with soothing aloe vera. Noir’s dominant scents include black cardamom and white musk with key notes of sage, coriander, white vanilla, vetiver, and amber musk. Post shower, my skin felt hydrated and smooth with a faint masculine scent. The body sprays ($12, 3.7 oz) were less satisfactory. The Ocean (notes of bergamot, cypress, nutmeg, patchouli, cedar, vetiver) and Citron (notes of bergamot, sage, lemon, woods, Tonka, sandalwood) released in a forceful spray, or rather thick mist. Given that the main ingredients are alcohol, water, and butane, the application, along with its scents, evaporated quickly. The packaging suggests using it as a deodorizer, but I didn’t take my chances. The body spray seems more ideal for a refresher midday rather than a fragrance or deodorant. Overall, the Signature Collection for Men is decent for its value and simple to use without frills.
