L’Occitane Pivoine Flora Makeup Collection
I associate L’Occitane with small tins of rich balms and salves. The French body care line has expanded into makeup with the debut of its limited edition Pivoine Flora makeup collection. The soft, dewy line is inspired by the grace of ballerinas and peonies. All products in the collections are mineral based, paraben free and rich in antioxidants. The lipstick – my favorite of the two products I tried – comes in four shades ($15) that leave you with a hydrating, subtle sheen. The lip shine was a standard lip gloss with a lot of shimmer factor, but not at all sticky. The lip shines also comes in four shades retailing around $14. The lipstick wore longer than the gloss, but what I liked about both products were the infusions of grape seed and vitamin C to nurture your lips. L’Occitane’s debut makeup collection provides feminine, conservative looks with an emphasis on good formulations. The only element I could do without was the cardboard packaging/containers with ballerinas painted on them.
