With songs debuting online in 2002, shattering box-office records at the 2005 FringeNYC Festival as well as winning that festivals’ Best Musical Award)  there’s high hopes for Silence! The Musical, but what I saw at a special 10:30 Halloween night performance (because of my buddies Mike and Jon’s b’day gift to yours truly) was more spectacular than any accolades or past accomplishments will lead you to believe.

Jean Harris as Clarice Starling is an Elvis mash-up Jodie Foster mock you have to see to believe, David Garrison’s Lecter is poised hilarity (Garrison played “Steve Rhoades” on Married With Children ) Stephen Bienskie’s turn and turning again Buffalo Bill hits every specific weird mark of the iconic character (details I was shocked that were included) but everyone here is fantastic, right down to some great spins with Ashlee Dupre and Callan Bergmann as Dream Clarice and Hannibal respectively during one of the early highlight songs…check the song list titles online to get an idea of what you are gonna get here!

Composers/Songwriters/Writers Jon and Al Kaplan pulled out all the stops, the songs are funny, sing-able and silly and Christopher Gattelli needs to be commended for not only his direction but at times fantastic choreography across The 9th Space Theatre Performance Space 122, but really the cast here- almost every guy and girl doubling-up-are what moves this blistering 2 hours to be absolutely the best fun you will have at any NYC theatre presently.
