C.O. Bigelow Mentha Lip Tint

With wintery weather comes the battle against dry lips. New York-based C.O. Bigelow – the oldest apothecary in the United States – has a solution for you: Mentha Lip Tint ($7.50). The lip glosses come in an array of tints and infused with 2% peppermint oil for a mild, tingling sensation. I tried Plum Mint, Bare Mint, and Violet Mint. The Mentha Lip Tints go on like a standard gloss with a smooth, hydrating texture. However, the pigments were faint, even the darkest one, Plum Mint, was almost sheer on application. The lip gloss lasts for about two hours considering you are eating and drinking through the day. The C.O. Bigelow Mentha Lip Tints seem more suitable as an effective lip treatment rather than a cosmetic effect. It certainly beats a tube of Chapstick any day.
