Under the ‘Vivid Ed’ banner our friends as Vivid Entertainment have just released Tristan Taormino’s Expert Guide To Pegging: Strap-On Anal Sex for Couples. A single DVD featuring ‘pegging’, a term coined through a Dan Savage online interview pole back in 2001, meaning women using strap-on dildos on their male partners. This activity is nothing new to sexually active hetero couples, even to those who have never tried it (for you literary rock and roll aficionados out there, a depiction of pegging, well before it was termed pegging, features in the infamous William S. Burroughs novel Naked Lunch and the dildo used in the scene is called a Steely Dan III, which is where the equally infamous rock/jazz hit makers got their name.)
This Vivid release is quite the educational guide, with everything you need to know revealed by your tour guide, the amiably adorable sexologist, ex-Village Voice columnist Tristan Taormino, a lady who has been espousing and exposing the pleasures of anal sex in her legendary workshops for years.
This is not simply a DVD of pegging scenes, though you do get four specific couplings here including the busty Dylan Ryder, Jada Fire, handsome Mickey Mod and others, giving and receiving as is their due. Interspersed with honest fun talk from Tristian-actually for me, the best part of the DVD really-we learn in specific chapters like “Anal Anatomy†“Hygiene and Preparation†and “Tools And Techniques†just how to do what we need to do to make this specific sexual exploration safe, fun and arousing, for both man and woman.
Tristan’s talk-complete with graphics-and the actual sex scenes are all well done, and though I know we needed it to break-up the action and give our participants more to do than just strap-on and have at it, the personal interviews slowed down the DVD for me. But this is a very slight criticism really concerning what could be a very taboo subject, especially for hetero men, but handled very well here.
Included in the extra section are mini-features on safe sex, enemas and a few more particular chapters on action ‘back there’.
