The pizza alone is worth returning for and the array of delicious sides and friendly staff are just added bonuses. While waiting for your slice in the 12 seat restaurant with exposed brick walls and fun pictures including one that says “I’m going to make you a pizza you can’t refuse,” order one (or all) of their appetizers. Choices include Rice Balls (with beef, peas, and marinara or with mozzarella and Romano cheese) or their Prosciutto Balls which can be dipped in their homemade marinara sauce, but are just as delectable without.
The menu includes five square pizza options named after streets in the neighborhood to commemorate the owner’s childhood tradition of Sunday pizza dinners with his family. Prince Perfection, their original Sicilian slice, boasts the most magnificent crust you have ever tasted as it is slightly thicker than your normal pie without being too doughy. If you are in the mood for something truly delicious, their signature slice, the Mercer Margherita, is a thin crust option with fresh mozzarella, basil, and marinara. Their Broadway Breadcrumb offers a creative twist consisting of seasoned breadcrumbs and tomato sauce but no cheese. Another favorite is the Spicy Spring, which matches Fra Diavalo sauce with spicy pepperoni and of course fresh mozzarella.
There are four Neapolitan pizzas to choose from including Boozy Broome (vodka sauce and fresh mozzarella) and an array of fried calzones. The more daring food connoisseurs might try the Green Machine, with pesto sauce, mozzarella, ricotta, and black olives. The menu has a selection that is substantial enough but co-owner Frank Morano attests that the reason for it being less elaborate is to ensure that everything they serve is truly the best.
