Gel nail color has more or less changed the manicure game in recent years. It lasts longer and is more chip-resistant than your basic pro mani. We’re willing to pay extra to have it applied (and even to have it removed!), travel farther to find a spa that offers it, and even switch up our signature shade in favor of a gel replacement.
