THE SEX FILES: Fred Willard, Bibi & Riley Call It Quits and more

So, here’s some stuff, in light of recent tragic news…

Supremely talented Fred Willard (who I recently enjoyed in NYC at the Frog and Peach Feb reading of “Hamlet”, see here, was busted Wednesday (7/18) by undercover vice officers at the Tiki Theater in Hollywood, CA. While watching a triple bill of the porn films The Client List Parody/ Relax He’s My Stepdad 2/ Follow Me 2 the ex-star of the T.V. classic Fernwood 2 Night and regular in those wonderful Christopher Guest movies Waiting For Guffman and Best In Show to name just a few, was busted for exposing and playing with his genitals. Currently Willard was hosting PBS’s Market Warriors, a show from which he was fired this past week, certainly due to the above news.

But now the offers are rolling in to keep Mr. Willard in all the porn he wants.

The day after Willard’s arrest, Hustler’s always outspoken, often controversial Larry Flynt offered Willard a free subscription to Hustler.com. As Flynt remarked: “We think Fred should join millions of others and enjoy porn in the privacy of his own home.” And on the same day Gamelink.com said it was offering the now shamed comic actor a free supply of video-on-demand minutes and would even offer the star a free masturbator. Gamelink.com boasts more than 235,000 porn scenes.

The Damson Dene Hotel in London has replaced its Gideon Bibles with copies of Fifty Shades of Grey. “I haven’t read the book yet — I’m not in the target audience — but I’m told it’s a ripping good yarn and everyone who’s in the target audience loves it,” Innkeeper Jonathan Denby wrote on his blog, having replaced a bible from each of his 40 guest rooms for the infamous light BDSM novel.

For those who care, Bibles are available at the Damson Dene’s front desk.

Now for those of you who have been following THE SEX FILES for some time, you’ll know that I have had occasion to meet with and interview the vivacious Riley Steele and bubbly BiBi Jones, two contract porn stars with Digital Playground.

The two women just quit Digital Playground days within one another.

On her MobyPicture site Riley gives a tearful 54 second goodbye, found here. Bibi also used the net to talk about her recent reading and being influenced by the book The Power Of Now. “I was promised a lot of things whenever I got in the industry. I was so excited, I was so happy. But nothing’s happened, and I can’t do it anymore.”

I know we were all faced with some horrific national news this past week so I thought I’d throw out some tidbits that were not as weighty, but interesting all the same.
