Similar to a fashion journalist, a beauty writer is on a continual quest for that perfect piece. In terms of beauty, the hunt is typically for the best anti-aging cream or eye cream or something to give you magazine, airbrush quality skin without having Vogue-like Photoshop at your disposal. For me, the search is complete with Elizabeth Grant Beautiful Colors Tinted Primer and Pore Minimizer ($40, 2.5 oz.). I plan to buy a case!
This multi-purpose primer is the greatest $40 one could ever spend. The product comes in a light cream mousse texture with Elizabeth Grant’s patented anti-aging Torricelumn. It goes on evenly with your fingertips or a foundation brush. Your skin is instantaneously transformed into airbrush realness without a pancake foundation look. Pores, lines disappear beneath a silky all over primer. Unlike traditional silicon primers, Beautiful Colors also moisturizes, can be used alone as a medium coverage foundation for a soft look. The primer also enhances makeup application and the hues of things like shadows or blushes.
After years of covering beauty, it’s gratifying to discover the “It” product. Elizabeth Grant’s products continue to amaze me making more and more appearances in my makeup and skincare routine. The products are affordable, highly effective, and you generally walk away thinking “why didn’t I know about this before?”
