When booties first stepped on the scene and became really big several years ago, I couldn’t imagine how I’d incorporate them into my wardrobe at the time… now I can’t imagine my wardrobe without them! And while booties typically started out as a fall/winter closet staple (at least, in the early days of their inception), the modern ankle boot has evolved to suit any and all seasons and situations – yes, even sandal weather! The cutout bootie is perfect for spring and summer when you want the trendy, casual-cool look of an ankle boot without the full coverage of the more traditional styles… not to mention the fact that they’re pretty darn cute to boot (ha!). Of course, the appreciation for cutouts during the sunnier months also goes hand-in-hand with the need for sunscreen… because these cutout booties are bound to leave you with some pretty funky tan lines!
