Eight piece soul infused rock band Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds will be bringing their “Fiery brass and gospel infused funk” (LA Times) to Irving Plaza on Friday, November 22nd in support of their latest EP, Fight produced by American Idol’s Randy Jackson.
Releasing their debut album in 2010, the band has brought their “stick-to-your-ribs style rock” (Wall Street Journal) nationwide touring over 130 days a year (including a three week run with Allen Stone and a sold out show at New York City’s famed Bowery Ballroom) performing at SXSW, Bonnaroo, Mountain Jam and Firefly Festival. They’ve shared the stage with The Avett Brothers, The Counting Crows, Trombone Shorty & New Orleans Avenue, Fitz & The Tantrums and Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings amongst others.
