Kiehl’s Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Wash Cuts through Dirt and Oil Naturally

Kiehls Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming WashKiehl’s recently launched the Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Wash as a compliment to their super popular Calendula Herbal- Extract Toner. I’m always a bit reluctant to try new face washes because my skin can be quite problematic. Not only is it oily but it’s sensitive, so harsh cleansers tend to irritate and overly dry my skin. However, given my happy history with Kiehl’s products in the past, I figured it was definitely worth trying! I am happy to report that this particular face wash not only cut through the oil but it was gentle, even reducing redness.

Let’s take a closer look at the key ingredients in this must- have product and why they work:

1. Calendula: Calendula is known as a Traditional Chinese Medicine ingredient and is highly valued for its anti- viral and detoxification properties. This is THE ingredient for those with normal to oily skin!

2. Glycerin: Found in plant lipids, glycerin pulls moisture from the air to hydrate and replenish skin.

3. Amino acid based surfactant: This ingredient helps the foaming process along as well as deeply cleanses.

4. Vegetable based surfactant: This ingredient boosts the foaming action and helps sweep dirt and oil from skin.

What sets this product apart is that it’s soap- free and paraben free. Soap can be harsh on the skin and promotes tiny cracks in the skin’s protective barrier. With Kiehl’s Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Wash the skin’s barrier is protected, reducing the possibility of irritation.

In a consumer test, after 4 weeks of using the product, 82% of participants said their skin quality improved. I can definitely vouch for the 82% because my skin has never felt better after washing. Kiehl’s Calendula Deep Cleansing Foaming Wash is a keeper!

Side note: It has the aroma of Starburst candy! Added bonus.
