Decibullz: The Perfect Ear Buds for Runners

DecibullzWhen it comes to music and running, I’m pretty old school. I had always preferred over the ear headphones when running but when shopping for a new pair recently, I was shocked to find that ear buds now dominate the running market too.

Don’t get me wrong, I love my buds, but when I’m walking. They just don’t stay in my ears. Constantly readjusting them is so distracting and really takes you out of the zone when running.

I made a temporary fix by wearing a bandana over my ear buds but that wasn’t terribly comfortable, especially when considering the sweat factor on a hot day.

Then another Internet search brought me to discover Decibullz. They are ear buds but with the addition of a plastic mold that conforms to your individual ear shape! I had to try them out.

The set- up process was a bit daunting but I managed to shape my molds. You basically take boiling water, drop in the molds for 5 minutes, take them out, let them cool to the touch, and then mold them to your ear. The full instructional video is below:

In the end, my purple molds aren’t the prettiest to look at, but they do stay in my ears! The sound quality is very good as well, which I wasn’t expecting.

If you’re wearing ear buds when you run, I recommend giving Decibullz a try. Like your running shoes, your ear buds should be a perfect fit too.

You can purchase a pair at the Decibullz website here: http://www.decibullz.com/shop/
